Got conned in to signing up for this program that would assist me in finding gov't grants... For $2.97 I was told I would have access to it. I am weary of internet scams and read over all the information carefully before signing up and even read reviews - all stating how great this access was - and what a great deal at $2.97! I thought for less than $3 it can't hurt to try it. Silly me for never checking my credit card bill (I never use my card!) I had racked up 3 months in charges of $57.61/month for a membership to grantapp? Not anywhere did I read this was for a 24 hour trial period. I was not warned that there would be a monthly fee if I did not cancel it within 24 hours. I called them to issue me a refund pronto as it was not clear at all that this was how their company ran - or else I never would have signed up for it. Also, I was sent a confirmation e-mail saying that the $2.97 would be on my cc statement the next month - but again, made no mention of the charges that would incur the months after, nor the 24-hour trial period. The computer system will only issue me a refund for the last 2 months so I guess I'll just have to consider the $60 lost an expensive lesson.
