Consumer Report

1) discovered charges of 10.66 EACH for unwanted, unrequested and unknown subscriptions from Mobile Plus Inc.:
(a) "SMS Joke Alerts" -short code 35292
(b) "Inspirational Quote" -short code 41030
for a total = $21.32 per month on ATT bill.
2) I phoned ATT at 800-331-0050
2) ATT deducted the total amount from my bill.
3) ATT also put a PURCHASE BLOCKER on any more "purchases" from ATT.com for me. I actually use ONLY iTunes for purchases, so I have no idea how this "Mobile Plus Inc." company got its apps onto my phone via ATT.com.
And I'd never pay for daily "jokes" anyway - I can make up my own and laugh my head off anytime I want.
My goal is for my wife to laugh at them too - maybe I should pay her a subscription to hear her laugh at my jokes.
