I sold a mobile phone through eBay (Samsung GT B3410 unlocked) to this man, Fred Multon (name on ebay as a member: fred. Briony) and he told me to send it to Nigeria to his son as a birthday gift. I posted the item with a Tracking Number and then I received an email from PayPal that I have to make a payment of $150.00 for releasing the item since it falls in the contra-band category otherwise they will destroy it. I sent the money via Western Union as they requested to ABIODUN ADEBAYO and the address is 128 LAMBADI ROAD, VICTORIA, GARDEN CITY, LAGOS, 23401, NIGERIA. After transferring the money I have received another email from PayPal that I have to make another payment of $480.00 Demurrage fees to release the item and that this will be the last payment that Nigeria Custom Authority and PayPal agreed on. I have lost already the phone's value and those $150.00 and neither PayPal nor Fred Multon gave me the money. And I think that this Fred Multon is a scammer and that I am not the only one suffering injuries regarding items posted to Nigeria.
What can I do to recover the money?
