A warning to anyone looking to purchase property in Rhodes Greece. This man should be avoided at all costs. Claims to be the biggest and best agent on the island with untold knowledge of the area and its housing market and yet simply oversee's the need to view building licences for property he is selling to the unsuspecting usually British customers.
Savvas Savvaidis has been selling 'homes to let' for many years cleverley misleading his clients with claims that mortgage payments could be met by income via holiday rentals of the property and even giving them a profit at the end of each year, he omits to tell anyone that in order to do that they need an Eot licence knowing full well that the vast majority of the properties are so illegally built that they will NEVER be able to obtain such a licence! Thus making such earnings in Greece ILLEGAL!
To help him in this scam he will encourage his victim into the use of one of his 'suggested' Lawyers, a handfull of dishonest Lawyers who will also oversee any differences between what the victim thinks he is purchasing (sold by Savvas) and the usual scam of it being much smaller on Official entries to the land regisrty/Building licence office! They then gently guide you through the Il (legal) process thus selling you a home that is worth roughly half of the value you have just paid! If not less.
