We were holidaying in Phuket and went to a seminar held by Freedom Leisure Group where we bought into the "Designer Way Vacation Club" (and duly received membership details and a case of books etc.) but were given a cash back certificate guarenteeing the money to be returned to us after 5 years. Plus we sold them our old timeshare ownership so that the total amount promised back totalled Aust. $14,000 at today's exchange rate. We followed their instructions to the letter and when we sent by registered mail courier express to their address in Bangkok, it was returned to us with "Moved out". They have no phone number, and we have emailed several times. So it looks like we were suckers to a scam. We even tried to contact the auditors listed on their web site and found that there is no listing for them. So be warned!
