I ordered a new mobile phone from lightinthebox.com under the impression that it was a european company. There was nothing on their site to indicate that in addition to the cost I would be expected to pay import duties before it could be delivered. UPS tried to deliver the phone but wanted an extra $40 in import duties. This made the phone more expensive than ones in the uk so I refused delivery and asked them to return it to the sender. I contacted lightinthebox customer service and asked for a refund. To date I have not received anything other than an automated response (saying someone would contact me). I then contacted paypal through whom the payment was made and raised a claim. This has now been refused because the seller has provided proof of postage. I am now out of pocket $134 and do not have any goods. The seller just ignores my emails.
