Ripoff pulled me over for no reason, then searched my vehicle after I informed him he couldn't

I am 24 years old and work as a pizza delivery guy. I've been trying desperately to make something more of myself, like getting my GED and going to college, but everytime I make a little progress, the state of virginia kicks me in the head so I can't get up. Here's how the Winchester Police Department operates.

I was driving home after I had got off from work. I stopped to get gas, cigarettes and a soda, then proceeded to go home. I came to a red two lane red light and got into the turning lane, by doing so I drove past 5 cars in the straight lane two of which were police cruisers. I hit my right signal, stopped at the light, noone was coming so I turned (which is perfectley legal in virginia, not that it matters).

So now I'm headed up cameron st., almost home, I have a habit of looking in my rear view (most people do) so I look and see one other car turning of the street about two blocks back. Three seconds later I look again to see a cop with his headlights off approximately five inches off my a*&. If I would have tapped my brakes he would have rear ended me. So I keep driving, a few seconds later, I see the flashing lights so I pull over.

As the cop approaches me I turn off my stereo, because I wanted to as clearly as possible what the hell his problem was. The first thing he says as he looks inside my truck is "Do you know why I pulled you over?", of course I say no. He looks at my rear view then says "Two reasons, your stereo was too loud and you have something hanging from your rear view".

By now I see what he's trying to do so I take it upon myself to inform him that the only working speakers I have are the three inch dash speakers. (in other words, my truck sounds like a cheap clock radio. But it looks decent) So I turn it up as loud as it goes, just to prove that my stereo isn't loud at all. Then he stutters a little as he regains his thoughts. His reply is "Oh, I just heard the cymbals and stuff you know, it's summertime and everyone has their windows down."

To make a long story short, he ran my info and came back and was bullshi*in me about my stereo and mirror. He tells me I can go, then stops and says he recognizes me from a while back when he busted me with a pipe. (Which never happened. I've never been in any trouble period, until this incident occurred. I tell him I've never been in trouble and that hes mistaken.

He thinks I'm lyin' and asks to search my truck. I tell him no, that I'd really like to get home. So they have me sit there for about thirty minutes, until they bring in the K9. He tells me to get out of my truck, so I do. He informs that they are going to put the dog in my truck, so I inform him that my gun is in the truck. That's when they slap the cuffs on me.

The dog finds my weed and presto, my life is screwed because some lowlife cop didn't like how I looked as I drove past. The gun is registered to me. I've had it for two or three years, and only shot a few times out in the stix. I drive an S-10, I don't have a lot of room, I had my gun laying between the two seats, so they claim I was keeping it hidden. If I wanted to hide it, Id have put it under the seat.

The point is I've been delivering pizzas for about three years; it's high risk so I take my gun to work with me. I'd rather have it and not need than need it and not have it. That idiot had a gun, suppose somone put some acid in his coffee for a joke and he flipped out. He could just start shooting people, and we would just have to sit there a get shot because we aren't allowed to protect ourselves, the law says we have to depend on scumbags like officer coleman to protect us.

When I bought the gun it took about an hour for them to check my information and make sure I wasn't a criminal. So why in the hell would I have to go through the same sh* just to carry it with me. If I need to qualify for a permit to carry it then why the hell was I able to purchase it. They are just making an additonal unnecessary step in the process so the state can charge you for the permit.

Like I said I've been delivering for a few years. I have never had any moving violations. I've never been pulled over, even when all my speakers worked and were brand new. I've never been in an accident, no speeding, no d.U. Is, nothing. I don't even drink. I just smoke occassionaly.

I'm going on 30,000 accident free hours of delivering, You'd think I know how to drive legally, but I guess it doesnt matter. If they want to harrass you, they can, in winchester, Virginia there's nothing you can do about it.

P.S. I later realized that the cop recognized me from 3 months earlier when somone ditched a stolen car near my apartment. He was the same cop who knocked at my door asking if I had seen anything. He had confused me with somone he busted and that is why they illegally searched me, and that is why I now have gun charge and a drug charge.

Now I will be strung along at least a half dozen court dates that I have to pay for, simply for minding my own business trying to go home and get 8 hours of sleep for the next day of work (the state takes a hefty portion of that too.) And that is why the state of virginia is a ripoff. Virginia isn't for lovers. It's for people who love getting ripped off and forced into justified slavery. Which is why I need to get out of here, but I conveniently I'm legally required to stay here until my charges have been resolved which will probably be 5 years and 10,000 dollars from now.
