I recharged my phone in the same manner and same amount as I have with Optus for years. I noticed that my credit seemed to be running out sooner but it was happening more subtly in May and June. Then on July 13th I topped up my phone with $30, leaving my balance at $40, which actually gives $300 in credit through Optus. Today I received a msg from Optus saying I was almost out of credit. I called and asked them why, they said Dada mobile had charged my account for premium services and gave me a #. What I reached was Waala Club, owned by a company named Lachlan Stuart Gillespie, and they indeed had been charging me. They cancelled the fictional service and said they would no longer charge me but that the money they had already gotten was forfeit.in other words they said would begrudgingly stop stealing from me but they were keeping what they had already stolen and my only recourse was to let them no I was unhappy about their theft through their "complaints department". I was also told their were no presidents, CEOs or other people of authority in this company with whom I could speak. So their business philosophy seems to be "Thank you for letting us steal from you and if you absolutely think it is necessary for us to stop, we will do so as long as you jump through all our hoops to cease the theft."
