Bellridge Apartments
Rip-off! Bad Business!

I Lived at Bellridge aprtments for 3 years. I've seen Bellridge go from a decent property to a total ghetto scene. I was no longer able to play tennis as the courts were usually filled with children pushing grocery carts through the nets. I've noticed other tenants crawling in & out of the bedroom windows instead of using doors. We had a LOUD fire alarm for the entire complex go off and sounded for more than 13 hours, I paged maintenace 11 times and got no response.

Diane the property manager would not even take my call when I complained. The office's attitude was (what's the big deal). The office would not tell me who owned the property. My air-conditioner went out in 100 degree heat and was not fixed for more than 3 days, I never received an apology or anything else. Worst place I ever lived.

My main complaint is that Bellridge is trying to charge me $377.00 for cleaning fee's. Truly trumped up charges: window cleaning fee's! A screen the maintenance man broke and said he'd replace. Never saw him again. They said they had to bring down 5 bags of garbage! This is not true. My apartment was empty when I left (except an ironing board and telescope I thought someone could use). The carpet was cheap and after three years of normal wear & tear should be replaced for the next tenants, but they're trying to charge me for it.

I was a good tenant who kept quiet, paid my rent on time and during the last 6 months I just wanted to get the hell out! Diane, the property manager has the social skills of a tree. She does not care about the people who live at this propery, all she cares about is revenue. My last year here was a nightmare. Families of 5 or more are living in small 1 bedroom apartments (I have seen this)
my building had a bad roach problem (I wonder why)

To sum it up, Diane turned me over to collections in less than a month of my move out. She never tried to call me (she has my work number) I don't think there is much I can do because I was unavailable during the walk through. My fault, but it's bad business.
