My computer just shut down and so i took it in because it was still under warranty. I was told by the computer dept reps that they would check it first to see it it could be fixed and i was given a new cp unit still in the box to use until mine was ready. The following week i was told that my board just went out cause that happens sometimes to a cp unit and that they would put in a new board and save all my info on cp unit. Then two weeks later they changed from what was already told to me so that they wouldnt have to honor thier word & warranty to get me to pay 500.00 dollars of which i could buy a new one. I am very angry & disapointed with the handeling of this matter and would like to see them honor the warranty and the first diagnois they gave me. The way this was done seems very much like a scam & i will not allow this to not be known. I have purchase serveral other items from fry's & was pleased but now when something happens to the merchandise and they don't honor committment to the customer & warranty i fill the pugblic should know.in all of this i was treated very badly by the people in the computer dept over the phone iwas constantly hung up on serveral times as i tried to resolve this and was not allowed to speak with someone in management over the store.
