I've noticed I got bed bug bite and called management office for exterminating. And exterminator came in on 7/3.
I returned to work on 7/5 and my director from the work place requested the letter from exterminator stating that bed bug has been treated and bed bug issue is resolved.
I called management office 718-321-8630 and spoke with Lee who is stating that she can't release any form or any letter. And she gave me bed bug 'check list' which is stating how to prepare the house before exterminator comes. She kept refusing to provide form or letter from extermination company and she also kept refusing to provide company's name and phone#. She kept saying she already provided the form - checklist which means nothing and she said she've never seen any tenant requesting extermination letter. Most of people goes to work and there is hundreds of co-workers in the work place, so it is not surprise that they want some proof that bed bug situation is being handled however she didn't understand that and she even didn't try to understand the situation. She kept saying "I can't provide those information because your director is not tenant for this apartment" however whether my director is tenant for this apartment or not she is responsible for safety and health for all the workers. I told her that without letter from exterminator I can't even go back to work and she said "You need to work that out with your boss." It was cold and heartless. And yes, I can't go back to work until bed bug issue resolved. Even though bed bug issue has been resolved there is no proof for that. So I might not be able to go back to work. I spoke with my boyfriend about this situation and he was mad since he also thought this is not right. He called the management office and spoke with Lee. She just hung up the phone on him saying she spoke with me for enough time. She does not even want to talk about this matters any more.
I really don't think this is right. I don't even know why she is trying to avoid answers however I need the confirmation letter and she refused to provide me that with no reasonable reason.
