I rented a car on June28-Jul1, Rental car company at time of car pickup charged my credit card $350.00 which was put on hold for 5days, then when car was returned the actual value of rental was charged again which was $211.00. A total of $561.00 was held up on my available credit. To not be released until up to 7-10 days. Which most car rentals don't charge you a second time. Called my credit card company and they said the merchant can take up to 10days and to call merchant. Merchants phone line is all prompts and none that apply to this issue. Don't use Thrifty unless you have a large credit limit and can afford to have your card on hold while on vacation.
