Consumer Report

Same story as the rest of them. Micheal has left me the same voice message 6 or 7 times. Been to busy to research til today and not surprised. There are some reputable companies out there such as one that I worked with, REO Property Advisers Inc... (They have a website if you google them and you will see the difference between theirs and the SCAM Trade Workers Online)... That do work for banks and foreclosed properties and sub all the work out to contractors who service their local geographical areas. These companies are acting as legitimate middle men and are traded on the stock exchange. They do require a background check from one person in your company but I think the bank pays them for that and the banks cover your insurance as well. But you get paid from the company acting as the middle man and deal with a lot of tedious tasks and red tape. Its a hurry up and wait company and then as soon as they get everything approved they wanted the job done yesterday. You also have strict deadlines, have to comply with HUD specs and also be patient sometimes waiting for the money to trickle down. I recently worked with a guy who works with this company and needed me to pull a permit for him and do a job in MA because he lives in NY and u don't need a C.S.L. There. We did the job for him and it went well. We have pulled a couple permits for him since and he gets enough work from them that is all he does. But I spoke with the owner of the company, REO Property Advisers and he told me many contractors sign on and leave after several weeks but then he has guys like the one I worked with who have been doing this work alone for years, do well and keep busy. I guess it depends on if you are willing to go through all of the b.S.
But as for this Trade Workers Online and Micheal's scam operation, well I hope this post can help someone. I usually don't take the time to log complaints such as these but this one got under the skin. I would like to take further action and am trying to come up with ideas so if anyone has any suggestions on how to best complain about and try to stop these scams or at least this one please let me know.
In the meantime I will be doing my best to bust this scam open myself.
