I have recently been searching for a loan amount of $3686, after been declined from somelenders i had a email sent from wentwoth direct saying i had been approved for a loan at 15.7% apr which i thought was really good as i dont have a great credit score.
I recieved a call from wentworth on the 31st may saying they had 2 lenders waiting for me and all i have to do is pay a brokers fee of $127, i told them i would get back to them after i had spoke to my partner about the fee.
So on the 1st june they rung again asking for the brokers fee, which i replied " if i pay this, will i be charged any other fee by the lenders and also will the apr change at all?" which they replied no you will not be charged again and the apr will stay the same. So i agreed to pay. I heard nothing for a week so i rang wentworth which took around 30 minutes to get through to, after finally getting through they said i hadnt paid the fee and to ring back with my long card number which i did which then comfirmed i had paid it and they said i will recieve paperwork within 2-3 days and the money will be in my account within 5-10 days that was the 12th june, yesterday the 20th june i recieved a letter saying i will hear from the lenders shortly. Today i recieved paperwork from ralph marlon wanting proof of income then also in small writing it says there is a brokers fee payable! I have reviewed these companies, both seem to be scams!!! I am deepy upset with the situation, i have been made to look stupid! I just want my money back...
