Ripoff FORGET ABOUT THE DRUGS, THAT'S BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS, CHAPTER TWO: Discriminatory hiring practices that include bias aimed at women, gays, lesbians, and african-americans. H.G. Houston is clearly one of the worst offenders

1) Terminating an employee for no reason at 5:30 A.M. And then telling him to go train his replacement (HG Houston 3/12/04). The replacement told individuals that H.G. Houston fired the guy because he didn't like "queers". Amazing how a new hire knows about terminations and rumor mongering thanks to HG Houston.

2) Terminating an employee for having a generator fall off his truck, when the employee had been complaining about the latch on the truck for several weeks. The shop was not held accountable as usual. Tce employee was a hard worker with a family. That employee was also labeled as a "fag". (12/03)

3) Labeling a Dump Truck driver at Anthem as a "faggot" and then firing him for no reason. The 22 year old did nothing wrong, but once again was fired because of bigotry. (8/03 Concrete).

4) Calling Darrell Ruiz' crew a bunch of worthless "faggots" and then shortly after getting rid of most of them. (HG and company 05/03)

5) Subjecting employees that call the job line (702-361-6550 ext 300) to being ridiculed and labeled in the background while the secretary is giving out the schedule on the tape. This is a regular occurance. (ie; employyees calling in and having to listen to their bosses making fun of them on the recording.

6) The practice of making individuals drive unsafe equipment using the threat of termination as a method of enforcing the request. The vehicles in question would be red tagged and towed by NHP if spotted.

7) Engaging in questionable relationships with building inspectors from the city and county. This would include Cedco trucks being used to deliver free material, and side jobs being performed at no charge for friends and family of the inspectors.

8) Discriminatory hiring practices that include bias aimed at women, gays, lesbians, and african-americans. H.G. Houston is clearly one of the worst offenders.
