I signed up for a tax lien boot camp run by CL Jones after hearing him speak at a REIA event in New York last year. When I spoke with CL on the phone he agreed to a partial payment. I gave him my credit card info and he removed the entire amount for the boot camp ($1997). The boot camp was to be in February (this boot camp never happened) and I kept emailing him for a date. After a while he informed me that it was going to be a one on one coaching program in Orlando. I did not sign up for that, and I didn't authorize him to remove the whole amount of the boot camp from my account.
Once I informed him removing the full amount from my account was illegal, he offered to refund my money. Then he went on a two month family vacation (yea right) and was unable to refund my money. Now he no longer answers my texts and calls. I have accepted he has no intention of paying me back, but I can't let him slide on this one. I despise people who come across as God fearing folk, but in reality are wolves in sheep's clothing.
His new "gig" is called the Fresh Start Community Initiative out of Orlando, Florida. Do not invest a penny of your money with this man. I should of searched the net for other complaints of people being ripped off before I gave this man my credit card info. He is not selling himself as the tax lien coach anymore. Those businesses in Connecticut are no longer in existance. Beware of CL Jones and his associate Stephanie Thomas!
