On the 7th June I was recommended by an American internet marketer to buy a programme which went by the name of Affiliate Overthrow. Being inquisitive I watched their promotional video and decided to take the 60 day money back option.
When I came to filling in the payment form it was from a company called Clicksure and as soon as I put in my credit card number the screen changed immediately to say my attempt to pay had been unsuccessful. I obviously did not get the programme.
On the 11th June I received a phone call from the fraud department of my bank who informed me that they had blocked a payment from my card for 1059 euros to Royal Air Maroc. This was for a flight to France. They were not prepared to send money through without my authorisation.
This started my alarm bells ringing in case I had enterd my card number in a fishing site so I made enquiries on the internet about Clicksure.
It is a new company with connections in China. It is based in Nottingham in England and one is unable to get a reply from their site at [email protected]
My suspitions have not been allayed as the bill for the airline was to be paid in euros which would indicate the attempt to use my card was likely to come from England.
I have been in contact with the American internet marketer who has taken a keen interest.
