He emailed me saying that he has a great opportunity for me to make money because this time of the year requires a lot of spending, and that i should reply to him as soon as possible, then i replied, and he told me he would mail me a cheque and i should help me deposit it, and transfer him $6,000. The cheque was for $11,000 and seemed legit and had my name on it, so i deposited it and in 5 days it was cleared, and i transfered him $6000. He never replied to me whether he received it or not, and just a day ago i seen my account has been frozen, so i went to the bank and they told me the cheque i received was altered and i was to pay back the whole amount. I am 17, and i was never aware of a scam like this. I have to return all the major purchases i bought with the money i had left, and i dont know what to do.
