Received a letter that stated my husband won the "Consumer Promotion Sweepstakes Drawing" for customers of Wal-Mart, Sears, ASDA, Walgreens, and Staples of the US and Britain. Enclosed was a check for $3,850.00 from the guaranteed total winnings of $50,000, from which he is to pay a Non-Resident Tax Clearance Fee of $1,920.00 to the Revenue Dept. Method of Payment: Western Union Money Transfer and to contact the Payment Handling Officers. The check is from Willowbend Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mesquite, TX and the bank is Bank of America in Walnut Creek, CA.
