I have not lost any money however, a fellow colleague's account was hacked asking for money. I know that his account was hacked because I spoke to him in person the day the email was sent. The email, subject line said sad news, stated that he was in the U.K. And needed 1,200 pounds. I did respond to the email stating that I knew the person's email was hacked and that I would report them to the athorities. The scammer sent an email today, 6/6, but I deleted it.
