I was in the Target store in Walnut Creek, Ca. And they had a current promotion of "buy 3- 12 packs of soda and get! Gallon of ice cream free" I couldn't find the ice cream in the dairy/frozen dairy section so I asked an employee "Yvonne" twice I said "excuse me" which she ignored me, and then when she did finally acknowledge me I asked her "do you know where I can find the free gallon of ice cream for buying the 3-12 packs of soda" and her response was "I DON"T KNOW! I JUST GOT HERE!" (with emphasis on the capital letters) she was very rude about it, like I was bothering her. My initial thought was, with the economy the way it is and how many hard working people out there willing to do a much more superior job but can't get a chance cause of people like this already filling the spot, not cause she's best for the position but probably knows somebody who already works there who got her a foot in the door. It's very irritating to see some unappreciative person occupying this position when there could be someone in that spot who is truly thankful and for just having a job! I too understand that we all have bad days, but it wasn't me that made her wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and i also feel terrible for the next person who got snapped at for asking a question later on in the business day. I'm just reall disappointed with the quality of her performance and the fact that Target, a reputable company would even have a "team member" that acts like that on the floor.
