I has contacted by this phony law firm in Orange County, California, headed by formerly disbarred attorney Bruce S. Weiner (a fact I didn't know at the time). A very slick sales guy who also claimed to be an attorney promised me they would secure a mortgage modification for me in "60 to 90" days. It has been a year since I took the bait. Since then, it's been one BS story after another, month after month, the names keep changing, calls are never returned, one office closes and another one opens up, then the phones stop working there. A classic sting operation, because I have come to learn that it is illegal for a law firm to take payment of this kind upfront. They promised to cut my interest rate in half, if not more, by getting me into a "special government program" with one of the federal mortgage agencies. As of today, May 22, there is no working phone number at either ALL STATE LAW in Newport Beach or its sister scam "firm, " REALTY LAW CENTER AT 6B Liberty, Suite 215, ALISO VIEJO California 92656. I am now pursuing this with the Orange County District Attorney's office... California Bar Association, etc, but beware of similar offerings — these guys keep changing their name and address. I am reading more and more accounts online of victims just like me. Same scam. They need to be brought to justice.
