Actually this started when I called "Grocery Savers" because of their advertisement on KFYK 550 AM (Phx Arizona) offering up to $1,000.00 in free groceries and other miscellaneous items because of an "Obama stimulus plan for free groceries". I asked then why they (the government) would do this and they (Grocery Saver person) stated that this particular agency wanted to track what Americans were purchasing. I said as long as it was free, why not! They stated there would be $25 registration fee but I would get something like vouchers to turn in when purchasing my groceries at any store I shopped at. After giving my CC (credit card) information, they immediately switched me over to this "Direct Savers" group. I thought I was speaking to the same people. They must be in some type of business partnership as I did not give my CC info to this group and I remember constantly saying "NO, I did not want a coupon program" as that was not what I called for, but they (the Direct Saver's) group ended up charging my account. I received "Direct Savers & Leisure Travel" junk in the mail, I called them immediately to cancel their "services." The young girl I spoke with assured me that I was not charged for their "service" and asked why I did not want it. I explained to her that I can look up coupons on the computer all day long and not pay a cent, let alone close to $20 a month, for what they provided. I specifically asked her if they had charged my account, and she said definitely not! I strongly advised her that if they did, they were to reimburse me. She said they did not charge anything, so I would not need to be reimbursed anything.
After receiving my CC bill, I tried calling the number on the statement, and just like the previous complaint, it was disconnected. I am now trying to get this charged removed from my charge card.
