An advertisement for a "FREE" product was offered by Herbal groups.
It was an interesting product, to sample.
When I placed the order, and questioned the need for my credit card,
I was assured that the product WAS... FREE!
After giving the card number, the salesman started to read the DISCLOSURE
STATEMENT.
When he got to the cost of shipping ($15.33) I protested the cost.
That was no longer "FREE".
I canceled the order, and hung up.
The salesman returned the call 2 times and a second salesman
(woman) called the following day.
All were told the order was canceled!
The charge was placed on my credit card, the flowing 4/24.
My bank refused to overturn the charge and I was obligated to
furnish them (bank) with a postal receipt of the returned,
unopened package.
Eventually the charge was overturned, due to the banks cost of
(further) protesting the fraudulent charge, otherwise considered
... A valid charge
