Ripoff for a garage $7500.00 ended with nothing except a bill.
Regarding our dispute with US Buildings Andrew Marcus contacted us by phone on 12/26 late evening around 6:00PM and sead he had got my phone number off of the Internet in regards to the purchase of a metal garage that I was wanting to purchase.
Mr. Marcus sent me a contract to sign by fax and I signed the contract and sent it back to him. Then he became very deceptive after I sent him the contract back that I singe and stated that was not what the contract was saying. Then he became overbearing after he got my signatures. Then in the late evening I had read the contract and found out that the building was the wrong style and then the size was wrong it was not a 40X40. And the building we discussed over the phone was not the same building that I faxed back to him on the agreement. He sead that was not the way the contract would be written. Then I tried to contact him back on the evening of the 12/26 with no success. Then mid morning on the 12/27 around 9:00 AM I called to cancel the building left a message with answering service. Then late morning MR Marcus called me and sead that he had to talk to management then he called me back and sead I could not cancel. Then I faxed a cancellation letter to him around 1:00PM and called him to make sure he had received the cancellation fax. Then he acknowledged receiving the fax of cancellation on 12/27. At this time we have not received any blue prints or any correspondents at all from US Buildings concerning the blue print charges. And in the letter of dispute that was sent to cards department he lied about the custom built building it was not a custom building that required custom blue prints and custom work from the manufacture they are from prefabricated manufacture that requires no custom blue prints and they made a false statement about the building. Then on the time line of 12/26 6:00PM to 12/27 9:00AM they never had time to create the custom blue prints engineering package. And the only communications I have had with US Buildings was the faxed back contract and phone calls to (MR Marcus And Jack) Early the next day 12/27 9:00AM to cancel the building according to the FTC regulations cooling-off rule that gives the customer three days to opt-out. And MR Marcus stated that the Building that I was to purchase was one that was a manufacture over run not a custom building. I contacted the county building inspector and their department has not received any type of building permit request for my location. I was so embarrassed to think that I had fell victim to there scam and dissipative sales tactics. Then on the 12/27 I went on the Internet to research US Buildings and found usacomplaints.com where a lot of others around the country had fell victims of the US Buildings sales tactics Very dissipative sales tactics and even the same names of the different Sales people that I talked to in US Buildings corp. And they used the same names and the only thing that changed were the dates they fell victims.
And the company US Buildings operate under several different company names.
