Wegmans needs a better return policy on their money orders from Money Gram

I bought several money orders at Wegmans on Alberta Drive in Amherst this month. I have been doing this for over 5 years at this same Wegmans. I needed to return one of the money orders because circumstances had changed, but I already had written on it. The customer service person said they would be able to cash my money order if I had not written on it and they claimed it was Money Gram's policy. When I got home I called the Money Gram 800 # and received an automated response stating that if I had the entire (2 parts) of the money order, proper ID (my drivers license), and I wrote on the back of the money order, "not used for intended purpose" and signed it in front of the person cashing the money order that I would be able to cash it. So the customer service person at Wegmans obviously never called the 800 # on the back of the money order. Wegmans still refused to cash the money order. Although, the Wegmans on Amherst Street in Buffalo informed me that they would have given me my money back if I had made the money order at their store location. It will cost me $15. And over 2 months to get a refund from Money Gram. I can't believe that a company as rich and powerful as Wegmans is being so petty and they don't have consistent policies at all of their stores. I have shopped at Wegmans for 23 years. I have shopped at Alberta Drive for 12 years. I believe Wegmans practices discrimination against certain targeted customers.
