First, my associate gets a call in Oct. From Progressive Business Publications (PBP) and she stated she was not interested in their 30 day free materials. Then we get a call, from International Credit Recorvery out of New York, saying they sent out the material and we owed $299 and if we didn't pay within 2 days they will turn the account over to a lawyer for collection. I told them we didn't want the material and never received anything. The girl from the collection agency said, "ok, we'll settle for $130.00". I said no, we are not paying for this and I needed to talk to someone at PBP. She said I couldn't talk to anyone and I had two days to pay or we would hear from their lawyer. I think everyone should contact SHRM and have them alert their membership not to do business with this compnay and warm them of the tactics they use. I am also filing a complaint with the Attornery General Office (PA), Bureau of Consumer Affairs. I think a little note to the BBB will also be going out.
