B.C. Transit police officer who abused his authority when he Tasered a fare evader has been suspended for two days without pay. No sh*t by golly you should see what they will do if you spit on the sidewalks.
The disciplinary decision from adjudicator Ian Pitfield was released Thursday by the Office of the Police Complaints Commissioner.in March, Pitfield found Const. Daniel Dickhout, 60, wrongly used his conducted energy weapon on Christopher Lypchuk, to whom Dickhout was trying to issue a violation ticket, at a Surrey SkyTrain station on Sept. 13.
Lypchuk, who had been drinking that evening, gave his information to Dickhout and acknowledged he hadnt paid to ride the train, but tried to leave before he was ticketed. Dickhout and his partner, Const. Pierre Chartrand, chased Lypchuk and stopped him in a stairwell. Dickhout repeatedly asked Lypchuk to put down his beers and turn around, but Lypchuk refused.
