This HOA sends repeated letters warning of fines and other actions against the homeowners of Lofland Farms neighborhood in Rockwall but does not manage the same standard for itself.
I have received numerous letters regarding 'paint chips' on my chimney, which are not even visible from the street unless you have nothing to do but split hairs with binoculars. There are several homes who have chosen to ignore this inane complaint and threat of fines if the alleged paint chips are not taken care of. We have recently had tornadoes, hail and severe thunder storms, yet there is not leniency towards this. Hello!
Also, I have received several notices regarding 'weeds'. I am on a mowing schedule that is every other week, so the grass gets a little bit tall and there are some 8 inch tall dandelions by the end of the two weeks period. I look around and see weeds everywhere - even in the neighborhood entrance flower beds which are supposed to be maintained by the hoa— and they are over two feet, nearly three feet tall. What hypocrisy and harrassment. I refuse to pay a penny to this bully HOA who charges four hundred dollars a year and does NOTHING! I guess they have to charge so much to afford the postage of all the bogus letters they send!
