Consumer Report

I went to nomorack.com to see what they were about. Thought it looked interesting and I thought I'd signed up to use that website, (didn't know anything about how they operated at the time). (Some how, there must have been a flash ad that popped up), because I entered all my info.including credit card amount of 100 dollars. When I returned to nomorack.com, I kept waiting for an "Insanity Deal. Never did get one, so I hadn't realized there was no account and no money there. It was quite sometime before I ever realized that I had any reason to be concerned about not being able to find that money in my account. When I did attempt to look at my account balance, and realized there wasn't any, I believed Nomorerack had goofed up. I started doubting myself and wondering if I had missed a step and never had actually applied money for later use. I asked my husband to check credit card bills to see if there was a charge by Nomorerack for $100.00. He checked and told me no, so I didn't think about it for awhile. I later remembered something about penny bids and finally realized they didn't work that way at nomorerack.com. Eventually, I remembered an email with this subject... Subject: Bids Remaining in your Account. I had never opened it because I had never gone to dealfun.com, and I don't open mail from people or places that I don't recognise. It had not been deleted from my mail because I left to spend a month visiting in San Diego just a day after my account deposit in December. When I returned home to Iowa, I began to look for my money. That is when I found the mail and opened it. This was sometime into March. Then I started putting 2 & 2 together. I immediately went to dealfun.com, saw that they operated with penny bids, but by then their website was no longer operating. After an email to [email protected] returned no answer, I emailed Nomorerack to ask for assistance in finding a way to contact them.

Here is a copy of my email to them and their reply which was useless:

Subject: An odd request
Djwagner43, Apr 03 21:25 (COT):
In December of did you have an advertisement for dealfun.com that I
may have clicked on? The reason I'm asking is because the first time that
I went to nomorerack.com, I believed that I registered name, address,
phone, credit card and actually put $100.00 down for future purchases. I
remember it used penny bids. Until about a month ago, I believed that money
went to nomorerack.com. I was very surprised when I looked for my account and
could find no registration or $100.00 on account. I was really confused
and asked my husband if he had recalled a charge from your site on our
Mastercard. He couldn't recall a charge so I initially thought that some how
the registration didn't process, and quit worrying about how to spend the
money on account. Since I had never found anything that I wanted and had yet
to ever come across an insanity deal, I had never attempted to make a
payment. I had remembered the penny bid thing and couldn't figure out why that
wasn't on your site. I quit try to reason it out until I remembered an
email from 12/17, that I had not opened because I didn't know the sender,
but the subject was: Bids remaining in your account. Anyway, I finally
put two and two together and realized that I evidently registered at an
entirely different place. So now my question is, How do I get that money
refunded now that they are out of business? If they advertised on your sight and
I ended up with all my confusion, Do you know how I can contact them?
Thanks for any info. That you can give to assist me,
Deborah Wagner
