I recently used PODS moving and storage to move and store my furniture for a month and a half. When i called in i gave the rep my time frame and asked for a quote. She told me about all the charges and gave me a final quote. I based my choice of company on this quote only to find out later that the second months storage fee is additional. The rep had told me that i would have two payments and i assumed that the second months rent would be in that payment.in fact I even called a different rep and asked what my next payment would be and was not told about the separate second months rent (around $260 dollars). When i called to complain i was told that they had reviewed their tapes and i had been informed of the charges. I informed them that while she had told me about individual charges she never told me that the next months rent was on top of the quote she gave me. I was initially told i could listen to the tapes (have it on email) but later i was denied saying i had no right to listen to the tapes and the matter is closed. If they are sure they are correct then why can't i listen to those tapes. I'm quite sure the tapes prove i was right but they were very rude and said i could not listen and the matter is closed. I want to warn others about this and i want to take legal action to listen to the tapes to at least show them that they have a very sneaky way of adding in the extra charges. I am considering legal action to obtain the tapes. This was not the only issue i had with them so please never choose this company. I will make sure my friends never do and I will post reviews where ever possible to make sure people are warned. If i can advise even one person against using this company then i will consider my work done. I tried everything with this company and all they had to do was let me listen to some tapes and they are obviously hiding something. Be careful when you use them as there are other companies that are far easier to deal with.
