My L-111 lawn tractor starts running slow, local dealer said it needed a new transmission after only five seasons of gentle use and yearly service by that same john deere dealer. They wanted one thousand eighty dollars plus tax to fix it and i would not pay that amount. I bought a john deere and paid a premium price because their hype about quality, and service. Well I was fooled into believing this hogwash. I contacted jd corporate customer service and was shuffled around and finally to a customer service supervisor that stuck to a script, it's out of warranty and we don't get involved or between dealers and customers. There was no dispute between me and the dealer I raised a question about how come jd doesn't offer some sort of trade-in when their products break down and the repair costs exceed the the current value of thr product. They basically told me you're out of luck and we don't care.
