I knew it was likely a scam but thought I'd be smart enough to just get away with really cheap plane tickets. I know they imply the tickets are free but I know better and thought maybe I could get my flight to Calif. For $200 a piece. Haha
Fortunately, I had better sense that to be intimidated by their sleezy sales tricks and the only thing it cost me was $55 in gas money and $ 4.5 hours of my time.
The "travel deals" they offer are basically what you can get on Priceline or any of the travel deal sites - just they will charge you $9,000 or $7,000 or $5,000 or $2,000 or $1,000 (the price depends on how long you hold out as they will find reasons to knock off 1000 here and there.)
The "gift tickets" are run by a separate company who is under no obligation to honor anything that MVC says. Also the fine print on the ticket voucher says you have to pay $50@ticket for the registration, then $59@ticket for the reservation plus any additional fees. A phone call to this company confirmed that for $109@ticket the only thing they guarantee is a cheaper price that the full retail price of the ticket on the day of your reservation. DUH— I can beat that on any travel site myself.
Be smart - enjoy the lovely spring weather and avoid these pathetic people.
