Complaint / Review
(Doing business with the FashionPay merchant)
Consumer Report

This is not a complaint or slander of the FashionPay, in fact I never even contacted them in order to resolve the issue that I had with a shoe web site that used the FashionPay merchant services. This is just the story of how i was able to initiate a refund for the shoe that I ordered, by going directly to my bank.

I ordered a pair of shoes from a web site company that initially informed me that the shoes were authentic and original, but after I processed the payment with FashionPay, and received the shoes, they were not as advertised in the pictures of the web site. So I contacted the company, and I was then informed that the shoes were counterfeit. Therefore, I requested a refund, but a company representative said something to the notion of, it is not a company policy to issue refunds. And after some time, and continuous e-mailing between me and the representative, the representative let me know that I could file a complaint with the bank that issued me the debit/credit card that I used to make the purchase, and that I would be able to get all of my money back that way. So I went to my local Bank of America, and spoke with one of the representatives that sits at the desks, and the representative of Bank of America called the complaint center for me, and provided the proper information that was needed to file the complaint, and then passed me the phone so that I could verify some information.in summation, the complaint support representative informed me that I would have to ship the shoes back to the company, and provide Bank of America with confirmation of the shipping with the receipt from the courier. So I shipped the package via USPS, and faxed a copy of the USPS reciept to the Bank of America complaint department, and within maybe a week, I had the full sum of money deposited back into my checking account. It's been listed as a temporary deposit while Bank of America investigates the claim, which is listed as a 30 day period. And after that 30 days, the Bank of America Corporation is supposed to reach a conclusion on the investigation of whether the money is to be permanently credited to my account. I'm not sure if you all may use Bank of America or not, but it may be worth a try with your bank or financial institution as well.
