Doing Business With FashionPay
Consumer Report

This is not a complaint or slander about the FashionPay organization, in fact, I didn't even contact FashionPay to resolve this issue. This is an explanation of how I received a refund by going directly to my bank.

First, I purchased a pair of shoes from a company that used the FashionPay merchant services. And a company representative initially told me, which is before I made the purchase, that the shoes were authentic and original. But after I purchased the shoes through the FashionPay service, and received the shoes in the mail, I noticed that they were not as advertised in the pictures on the company's web site, so I contacted the shoe company, and service representative then informed me that the shoes were "copy", or counterfeit. And thus, I requested a refund, but the representative told me something to the notion that it is not the company policy to issue refunds.

But after continuous e-mails, back and forth between me and the service department of the shoe company, I was informed by a representative that I could contact the bank that issued me the debit/credit card that I used to make the purchase, and file a complaint with them in order to receive a full refund.

Therefore, I visited my local Bank of America and and spoke with one of the representatives that sits at the desks and meets customers for issues other than teller transactions, and I told that person about the shoes that I ordered, and that I would like to know if I may file a complaint in order to have my money refunded to me.

And that person was so helpful. The bank representative called the Bank of America complaint department for me, and informed them of my issue, and then handed the phone to me in order for me to verify some information.

And then, the complaint department representative informed me that I would have to send the shoes back to the company, and then provide the complaint department with a copy of the shipping receipt as proof that I sent the package back. And that once I sent the package back, the claim would be processed.

So I went to USPS and sent the package back First Class, the cheapest way to China, about $25.00.

And then I faxed the receipt to the Bank of America complaint department, and in maybe a week, I had the full amount that I paid for the shoes back in my checking account. The money was listed as a "temporary deposit", and was scheduled to be permanently posted after the Bank of America Corporation completes their investigation of the transaction, which is scheduled for about a 30-day period.

And I don't know if all banks and financial institutions may have this policy, but it may be worth a try.

Peace, and God bless.
