On 03/30, I saw the Regal Cigs ad on MSN.com, “A free Regal Cigs Premium Starter Kit and you just pay the $4.95 shipping.” I thought the offer was legitimate and above board the ad was on MSN, right? The kit arrived a week later and it sits on my desk unopened.
I then called Regal Cigs to ask about the $119.95 charge and was told my “trial period” had expired and I had agreed to their Terms and Conditions, which meant I would be charged the $119.95. Whoa…I never saw the terms and conditions. If I had, I never would have placed the order. You can find the 3 page Terms and Conditions at the very bottom of their webpage regalcigs.com, the font is so small you will have to magnify it. Their representative also stated “if the Starter Kit was returned I would charged a restocking fee……. Just A DARN MINUTE the email confirmation I received states there is a 30-day Money Back Guarantee, another deception! In addition, after double-checking my credit card bill I also noticed a foreign transfer fee because this reprehensible company is not based in the USA. However, that fact is not going to stop me from lodging a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at ftccomplaintassistant. Gov
Talk with your credit card companies and tell them about the fraud, they will work with you.
