I received a text this morning on my Virgin wireless phone. The text claimed I had won $999.00 value shopping at Walmart.in fact any walmart of my choice. It then directed me to go to www.wmart-giftsonline.com. I knew this was a scam as I am a computer engineer and deal with cleaning up malware on peoples computers. My brother had fallen victim to this in the form of a survey where as his computer was infected with malware afterwords.
These sort of scams and surveys cost me time and my customers money. I do quite well making a living off normal computer servicing. This type of thing overloads my business and causes me to work Saturdays and Sundays in order to keep my customers computers running properly.
