Gary Blonder walked into our office on January 18, wanting to buy our 2007 Hyundai Azera for sale. He made an offer which we accepted. We wrote a bill of sale with his deposit of $100 and a written promise to pay for the vehicle. He said repeatedly, "we do this all the time." He had gone to his car (a red ford 500 which we learned was not a registered vehicle) and retrieved a formal looking business attache. He brought out official documents including a bill of sale.
Blonder wanted to take the car. Foolishly, I trusted him, had wanted our organization to have no more liability of car and insurance payments. I let him take the car. I called him on his cell phone, told him I wanted the car back and he refused to bring it back. He told me that it was too late, he had driven it to an auto repair place in Davie. He didn't know the name of it, though "we do it all the time" he again said.
