I received a letter from oxford financial group in oxford, UK telling me that I won $150000.00 us dollars in a sweepstakes held on 1/7. They enclosed a check with the letter for $3980 and said that $1995 was for taxes on my winnings. It told me not to cash the check until I contacted them to make arrangements on receiving my winnings.
I figured this was a scam so I checked on line and found that others had received the same letter. Mine arrived in an envelope that said it was from Sears, even though they have nothing to do with this.
