I signed up for a free trial at emusic a while ago.. It was a great service and all, but I decided I would not be needing it on a subscriber-basis. Unfortunately, I also lost internet at the time and could not cancel my subscription. When I did get my internet back, which was after my trial period had ended, I attempted to contact them about my situation and try to cancel the whole thing. They never sent me any emails back and their callers HUNG UP on me. I figured I would just leave it be.

Now, a few months later, they charge my paypal balance out of nowhere. I have not been using their service beyond what was promised in the free trial period. I am now disputing their charge to my account. After they charge my account, I FINALLY get to see a "cancel account" option on their website. It was not there during the trial period.

From what I can tell, make sure you cancel your subscription to emusic before their trial period ends. They will not make it easy for you to cancel after that, and will try to take your money, and hope that you let it slide.
