I bought a Compaq Presario 2700 from Office Website in Houma, La on 12-19-01. I had been also spoken into obtaining a long two-year Kemper guarantee for $239.
I had been informed from the salesman when it gets fallen, killed, etc. That it'dnot be considered a dilemma for protection. Obviously, it's never been decreased or killed. Our agreement phamplet also claims "be assured in case your notebook fails, we will be there to provide you with fast dependable, quality repairs-ASSURED. Therefore, I contact them (Kemper) nowadays since Office Website claims they do not possess a service department. That I've to contact Kemper CS. The moment I contact I get only the run-around.
They're telling me to obtain application and a myriad of garbage to find out if it's a hardware issue. The thing is that CDs that play good in a music may miss after I set them into my dvd-drive. That's equipment. I actually donot understand why they've togo through this "process"-possibly since they're attempting to declare it's a application issue (they explained Windows Media-that we was employing may be the offender) since the guarantee just handles equipment issues.
They do not wish to pay the piper - they simply wanted the cash. I'll let everyone know about these folks!!! Do not purchase from these frauds!!!
