On 8-8-11 I saw an ad on cable for the DishNetwork. I called the number listed (1-800-793-8171) and spoke with a Telephone Sales Rep. Hector. During the sales pitch I was informed that I could purchase a 3 year protection plan for a one time fee of $99.99. I accepted this offer and the funds were taken from my bank account via a debit card on 8-8-11.
In my March/April bill from DishNetwork they started billing me an extra $10.00 monthly to my account. When I contacted DishNetwrok I was informed that the Protection Plan I purchased was with UNI-SAT Communications and not with them. They refuse to honor the Plan and insist I pay it monthly.
It appears I am out the amount of $99.99 that was deducted from my bank account on 8-8-11 by UNI-SAT COMMUNICATIONS for a Protection Plan with DishNetwork. UNI-SAT COMMUNICATIONS also debited an additional fee of $49.99 from my account on the same day.
I find DishNetworks claim of not honoring the Protection Plan not to be factual becasue the day after my service was installed I had a problem and DishNetwrok sent a technician to my home at no cost to me becasue I had purchased a Protection Plan.
I feel someone has taken my money under fraud and misrepesenmtation and they either honor the Protection Plan or refund my money plus interest.
