RGE contracted a crew to go out an "trim" trees away from power lineS. Well, in my neighborhood "butcher" trees is more appropriate term for what they did. This particular crew broke gates to my yard, Butchered my trees to look like utility poles, left enormous amounts of debris from the butchering all over my yard as well as breaking parts of my fences, knocking things off the fences and stepping all over my landscape garden lighting. They gave absolute no conern to the fact that they were on ": private" property. I spoke with RGE and they don't seem to care much. I am a senior citizen and cannot be picking up large pieces of tree trunks and moving them. The Town of Irondequoit does not seem to care much either!!! No help there SO MUCH FOR THE HIGH TAX BILLS WE PAY. If there are of you conservation advocates out there perhaps it is time for you to step up and stop this butchering of our precious trees and distruction of private property. I know I for one will now build an all enclosed stockade fence around my back yard and the only way they will get in again everis to have an appointment when I am home to watch them!!
