Entergy, Louisiana, Corporate
Accounting, Billing, and Customer Service (s) Department (s) DISABLED VETERAN, HOMELESS PROGRAM, SINGLE MOTHER

I am a native of Louisiana. How ironic is that? If you peruse Entergy Louisiana's website, there are quite a few reports on how much Entergy is dedicated to helping the homeless. Maybe so. However, does this olive branch extend to disabled veterans? Or how about disabled veterans and single mothers? Or how about both of those, but add: homeless veteran program?

I can answer that question. I haven't seen an olive branch from Entergy... Let alone... An olive.
I am all of the above: A single mother, disabled (U.S. Army) veteran, and currently enrolled in a homeless program through the VA (VASH). You may ask what this information has to do with my report?

Indeed. As much as Entergy claims to care for "EACH" of their customers, I'm fairly certain the details of my life, are not of great importance to them. Understandable... If it did not pertain to my report:

I walked away from-and survived-physical spousal abuse. I took only my last name with me, and started my life over again. I also mentally and emotionally survived rejection after rejection in my employment field. I felt validated after my ADHD diagnosis. I imagine anyone would after losing 11 jobs in 10 years. I felt valdiated after my depression diagnosis. I never gave up, but continued to try to better my life. I may have lost job after job after job... But I never gave up. I felt validated after being awarded a disabled veteran rating and compensation. I imagine anyone would after waiting almost 5 years for an answer. I am surviving single motherhood. I imagine anyone would after NEVER having received any kind of support (financial or emotional) from the father of your child.

I imagine anyone would understand that financial security is THE best thing, and something we all strive to achieve and hold unto to. I don't have to imagine. I know.

I have paid almost $2,280.00 to Entergy Louisiana in less than 9 1/2 months. Subtract $890.00 from that amount for deferred payments. Except... I had ONE deferred payment of $377.00.

Right. I imagine anyone would understand it when I state that Entergy should fire their accountant. While they are at it, let's fire the manager (s) in the billing department, and last but not least-perhaps a few qualified customer service reps-employers that constantly incorrectly post money to my account. Entergy posts money to my account to suit their needs-therefore making my billing statements a flat out lie.

My bills average out to almost $300.00 a month for almost 9 1/2 months. I imagine people would understand why I feel the way I do.

Here's the best part though: Entergy has refused to send someone to check my meter THREE TIMES in the last 3 months. I've repeatedly requested this because of the high usage amount shown on my account since January. When I requested a refund and to be re-billed for January to present, I was DENIED.

I am in a homeless program for disabled veterans. I am a single mother, low income, and on food stamps. I work hard to make my life better, so that... ENTERGY gets it all?

No sir.
