If it sounds too good to be true than it probably IS.in fall Henry Stanley was working in my neighborhood and gave us a price to rip up our old driveway and replace it. The price was much less than the price we had been given years ago by someone else. I figured the economy had changed, that had been a high end provider, and the guy was in the neighborhood... I should have checked. I am an idiot. They ripped up the old driveway, the put down something that might be in the category of asphalt, but it is pebbly and comes right up, and is worse than the old driveway. Also, he destroyed some of our plantings. Now, March cold weather has passed, so I called to complain. He promised to come over and make things right. He has not shown up. I called and left another message. I will write again if he does, BUT... I think we will have to pay BIG bucks to correct what he did. We would have been better off paying the original exorbitant estimate than paying him, and then paying more to undo what he did and do it again.
