I was charged 6 different over draft fees for one single mistake. The first over draft fee caused a chain reaction to my checking account. The bank policy is to start with the highest deductions first, this of course increases the likelyhood of more fees-a plus for the bank but a negative for the customer. And I was not notified until after they started taking out the over draft fees which drained my account. To makes the situation worse they said it wasn't just my fault but since my account was less than a year old there was nothing they could do. I guess I am a second class customer for the first 12 months at FirstMerit.
