This is a common scam. There are hundreds of scam companies like this one and World Market Events is just another one among the wide timeshare scam net. They would offer to timeshare owners to rent their property to potential buyers and would guarantee the deal.in my case that would be Ocean Blue and Sand from H10 Hotels. Locations are Dominican Republic and Mexico. Of course after fake contract they would ask the monies $989.00 up-front for Mexican Certificate Research on my property.
I didnt pay a penny and neither should you! I knew this was a scam and I know as soon as somebody makes this first payment there will be more and more requests for the monies under other stupid claims. These scam companies appear and disappear every day by hundreds. There are the same people just changing their names, name of the company, and the cheap websites. This is easy to do and requires very small amount of monies to invest. All they need is a very simple and cheap website, a phone number (not listed) and some office equipment.
The first victim covers all the spending for this scam enterprise and the next one already brings pure profit. No matter what is the name of the company they all use the same once-created fake contract. They would hesitate to communicate through e-mail (e-mail is a legal document) and prefer calling you on the phone. They would barely speak any English and there will be plenty of misspelled words on their website. Be aware!!! Just take a look on what a crap they sent me last time after numerous of calls they attempted which I simply ignored. Good luck and be vigilant! The simple rule against the scam is: DONT EVER PAY ANYTHING UP-FRONT!!!
First of all good afternoon, yesterday after handling all the starting paperwork for this particular transaction it was called to my attention on the behalf of the holding company that there would be a (Mexican Certificate Research) background check on the property with a cost of $1,978.00 USD. The buyer attempted the payment for the Mexican Certificate Research a few hours ago after depositing successfully the $13,500.00 USD for the rental payment and the monies was rejected by the Holding Company, this was due to the matter that the buyer is not the entitled owner of the right of use for this property in Ocean Blue and Sand.
We (World Market Events) took responsibility in this matter to pay half of the fee your you since there was no previous notice of this fee. So the pending payment will be $989.00 USD which will be reimbursed at the closure of the contract along with the $13,500.00 USD. If you are able to deposit those funds by the end of business Friday, March 2nd, of 2012 which is the pay day lapse established by the Holding Company. You can evade any late surcharge for delaying the transaction, and by Monday I would be able to send you a duplicate statement of the Holding Company, and we would also able to finalize the transaction before the period of time given prior to the contract.
Along with this e-mail comes the Step by Step for the transaction wiring, the Transfer Ownership Agreement, Costumer Guarantee, and Reimbursement Letter. Due to the Holding Company the payment has to be realized the latest on Friday March the 2nd in order to continue with a speedy transaction and to be able to release your funds A.S.A.P.
