This company practices "Bait and Switch". The bait is that you will only pay $2.95 for the VIN search, but in actuality you get billed not only the $2.95, but also another fee of $29.95—FOR THE SAME SEARCH!!! So, essentially, you are paying two different amounts for the information; one fee, the $2.95, is announced all over the site whereas the $29.95 is buried within the Terms of Use (which are confusing and ambiguous).
I have contacted the FTC and filed a consumer complaint about this company. I am hoping that they will investigate and require this company to be more upfront about the actual charge that will be billed to the customer.
