CVPS is billing us for a month's service on a home we sold 6 years ago. The owners moved out, shut off service, and CVPS opened the account back up in our name. They said they did that because when we were the owners, we had it set up to revert it to our name if tenants moved out and shut off electricity without our knowledge. We are not the landlords or homeowners and haven't been since when we sold the home. Talking to them has not changed their mind and have sent the bill back and said on it that we are not responsible for this bill. Just get the bill back again. This could hurt our credit, which is impeccable, but we refuse to pay this bill. It is ridiculous. Can you help?
