On 11/6 ordered online web site ductlessdepot.net, a ductless heat pump. Was received several days later. We discovered product was heavier and the "simple" installation was very complicated. Had to have a pump to pump air out of lines, soldering tools, much more. Advised co. We were returning product that had never removed from box. He stated there mite be a 20% restocking fee. Replied, didn't see that on web site. (Later found out was at the very bottom of page that I never got to.) We returned via UPS insured. On 12/15 our credit card co. Took this over as had not recd. A credit. On 1/6 they finally credited us $1016.90 (charged us $254.22 restocking) I started corresponding via email with a Boris Ermant, that I felt this was unfair. He responded that the unit was received back box torn up and unit dented. Ask why neither I nor UPS was brought in on this info. His reply too much hassle with UPS. I said that is why it was insured. They contend that I am not entitled to the credit back of $254/22, that they cannot sell the unit as new. A total untruth and very bad ethics. This was and is my only time I will ever buy online. I think they are unethical.in addition, the original box was enclosed within another heavy box.
